The Challenge:

A group of beverage industry veterans came to Creature Theory with a unique project. The goal was to launch a cannabis-infused beverage brand to fit naturally into healthy lifestyles that are full of fun and joy. The founders had tasted the competition and knew they could do it better. The only problem was, well, the competition. Whether you’re into THC, CBD or Delta-8, there’s already a long list of cannabis beverages to choose from.

Execution:

Creature Theory laid the story-driven groundwork for the brand to be rooted in healthy lifestyle vibes, with an elevated sense of fun and levity to drive most brand expressions. After all, we all need to take the edge off every now and then. For too long there’s been too few alternatives to booze, but now the alcohol alternative category is exploding. While beverage lanes like craft beer and wine have established styles to leverage, cannabis brands run the spectrum from trippy to crafty, yet rarely define a style all their own. With the debut of KAYA, it’s time for a new generation of wellness refreshment—one that’s unapologetically fun and vibrant. The punchy design aesthetic grabs attention and invites our audience to the party. And it just so happens that Kaya is a good time you can actually feel good about.

THE LAUNCH

With a solid brand and packaging system in place, our team created a social media plan to introduce Kaya to the world. The launch campaign focused on the digital natives that will be Kaya’s biggest fans. Lifestyle-driven videos and photography with a healthy dose of health and wellness vibes made for an engaging campaign that stayed true to the core brand. The campaign is young, but our initial reporting points to Kaya being a hit!
